Ronald Sandt Obituary

Ronald P. Sandt
Ronald P. Sandt, 61, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 25, 2009. He was the beloved husband of the late JoAnn (Fritchman) Sandt, who died in 1983. Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late Clark P. and Mary T. (Karo) Sandt. He served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Schoenersville. He worked for 34 years as a maintenance mechanic for Mack Trucking Company until retiring in 2003. He was also a past member of the Raccoon Club, Northampton. Survivors: His daughter, Cheryl Getz of Annville; brother, Larry Sandt and his wife, JoAnn, of Hanover Township; grandson, Codey Getz. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:30-11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Hellertown. On line condolences may be made at: www.longfuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ronalds memory, may be made to the Lung Association of the Lehigh Valley, 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Ronnie. I grew up across the street from him on Airport Rd. He taught me alot of interesting things about life and having fun while you are here on Earth. God Bless Ronnie, see you on the other side.

Larry, I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie. I only wish I could have made it back there to see him again, but I will remember the great time we had on our last visit. I pray that God will comfort you at this difficult time.
