Russell Hawkridge Obituary

Russell Hawkridge, 94, of Emmaus, passed away October 28, 2021 in his home. He was the widower of Ruth M.H. (Herold) Hawkridge. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James H. and Sophia (Haug) Hawkridge. He was a fire fighter for the Philadelphia Fire Department for 27 years until retiring. Russell served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Survivors: Sister-in-Law, Lynn Kettenburg; Nieces and Nephews, Kate, Scott, Kathy, Chuck, Jimmy and Ginger; Brother-in-law, Frederick Herold, Jr. He was predeceased by a Son, Brian Hawkridge.

Services: Private. Arrangements entrusted to Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.

My first cousin,Russell was my hero all my childhood.
After my father died he & Ruth were so respectful & honorable.
I lived far away and missed having a family relationship with such fine man.
The world is a poorer place because of his passing.
