Scott Strohl Obituary
Scott D. Strohl, 40, of Slatington, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, in St. Lukes Hospital, Allentown. Born in Bethlehem, he was a most beloved son of Beverly J. and John R. Tisdale, of Slatington and William K. Strohl, of Emmaus and the late Marguerite Kompass Strohl. Scott was a participant in The Arc SPARC program for over 15 years. Survivors: Include his parents; brothers, Erik M. Strohl, of Cooperstown, NY; Paul M. Tisdale, of Germansville; sister, Deborah A., wife of Dr. Bennett Cozen, of Dresher, PA; stepsisters, Suzanne Kompass, wife of Sean OBoyle, of Manhattan; Lynn Kompass, wife of Phillip Bush, of South Carolina; nieces and nephews. Services: A Service of Remembrance will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Calling hours, Wednesday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, 10 to 10:30 a.m. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, 2289 Avenue A, Bethlehem, PA 18017

Dear Bev and Family -- I am probably among just a handful of friends who remembers when Scottie was born. So cute, so small, just a few months after my Joshua. How we all fussed over both little ones back then.
Hard as it may seem, 40 years have passed and the tiny bundle we all held so tightly, so carefully, has made his final mark on these earthly places.
Too soon, much too soon.
I send love to all - to every member of Scott's wonderful family who focused all the days of their lives on this beautiful boy so that his life would be full and rich.
And it surely was.

Bev and John,
I really enjoyed getting to know Scottie and he will be missed by all who knew him. I will remember the days of taking him to program for you and John. I know he is at peace and I'll keep you all in my prayers.

It was certainly sad news I learned today. My friends at SPARC got in touch with me because they remembered Scott was one of my favorites. Always will be.

So sad to hear about Scott. I always loved how he remembered Tom and shook his hand everytime we got together. We will be at the ceremony today to honor Scott's memory and our friendship with you and John.

Mr. and Mrs. Tisdale and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Scotty's passing. I was his basestation instructor at Sparc about 5 years ago. He always brought such joy to the room. To know him was truly to love him. I have often thought about him and asked the girls how he was doing. He will be so greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I pray you find peace in your many great memories of Scott. Take care.

Sally and I were heartbroken to hear of Scott's sudden demise. As we mourn, we take comfort in the memories he gave and the good he did by touching our hearts deeply. His warm greetings and hugs when we visited for lunch will always remain fresh in our minds. We are blessed to have known him. May his spirit rest in eternal peace.

not lost but gone before.....i will miss seeing him coming to white hall minimart for his york mint patties and chips.its been a ritual goin on with me and him last four yrs.my last interaction was on mon ,,never knew its goin to be the last one until the day of Ressurection when we meet again..he will remain as golden letters in the archieve of my heart.

Bev, John and Family,
I am at a total loss for words to express my sadness for you all because there just aren't enough words out there to tell you how I feel. Scott was such a wonderful person and loved by all and I truly enjoyed working with him over the years while at The Arc. I would still see Scott regularly while out in the community and it was always a joy to say "hello" and see Scott's smile and get my hug. I will always remember my last hug from Scott which was just a few weeks ago at one of the volunteer sites where I saw him. Had I known it would be my last hug, I would have held on to him and never let him go. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. Scott's memory will stay alive forever in my heart. I love you Scotty!!!!
