Stephen F. Szilagyi
Stephen F. Szilagyi, 92, of Northampton, died April 2 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He and his wife, Elizabeth (Skubik) Szilagyi, were married for 65 years. Born in Szombathely, Hungary, he was the son of the late Imre and Ilona (Brodorics) Szilagyi. He was a pressing and shipping foreman for Scottys Fashions, Palmerton, Little Gap, Pen Argyl and Lewistown, for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and St. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society, both of Northampton. Survivors: Wife; sons, Stephen J. and wife Stephanie of Allentown, John J. of Coplay, Jim S. and wife Karen of Northampton; daughter, Bette Christman of Northampton; brother, James in Georgia; sisters, Mary Biss and Helen Haklitch, both in California; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Northampton. Call 8:30-9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Contributions: Carmelite Nuns, c/o the funeral home 18067.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Pop-Pop will be greatly missed. We both loved him dearly with all our hearts and Heaven will be a better place with him there. And one day Pop-Pop I will meet you there..:)

If wealth is measured by the life you lead, the family you raise and the example you set, my wonderful Uncle Steve is one of the richest men that I have ever known. His, was a life well lived. Well done good and faithful servant. I love you kiddo.
