Susan Sacks Obituary

Susan C. Sacks, 70, of Coplay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Sue loved to cook. She had several specialties such as Chinese Chicken, Stuffed Shells, and of course, that awesome "Beef and Beer" which were always met with "more, please." And she was happy to oblige. Sue was also an avid Eagles fan and Phillies fan and when they were not doing so good, she yelled at the TV. They didn't hear her, but it made her feel better. Her husband Mike was with her through cancer, congestive heart failure and squirrel bites. He stayed by her side through it all and gave her the strength to fight. Sue never thought she would be a Nana, but Savannah and Jaxson made that a dream come true. She never spoiled them but was very accommodating to them… no matter what mom or dad said. Her own pets were all rescues, from the Mama cat and her four kittens born in the window well of the old American Club to all the rest. They were all loved and spoiled and made the house a home. All their personalities made them each special in their own way. Sue also loved her outside animals and made sure the bird and squirrel feeders were always full. Sue never met an animal she didn't like. And after having several jobs throughout her life in grocery stores and retail stores she became a pet sitter. Her company was called Snug At Home. And as a pet sitter, along with Mike, (whom she referred to as "the big toy" because he played with the animals while she cleaned the litter). She was able to have more pets than she could have imagined. And she spoiled them too. The clients became family and every year the Client Christmas Party was epic. From the huge stuffed Santa in the tub with bubble wrap for soap bubbles to a tree in every room, everyone had a great time and shared "pet" pics with each other. But her own family was her heart. If she could help them in any way she did. Her pride in all of them showed when she spoke about them. And each one was special to her in their own way, but they were all loved completely and totally. In addition to her devoted husband of 28 years, Michael R. Sacks, she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karl E. Unger and wife, Sandy of Coplay, Sarah Zareva of Burlington, VT, Michael F. Sacks of Allentown, and Jeffrey J. Sacks and wife, Jackie of Northampton; and two grandchildren Savannah Rose and Jaxson Anthony. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Sue's memory to the Animal Food Bank of The Lehigh Valley at 860 Broad St, Emmaus, PA 18049. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., Coplay, is entrusted with arrangements. We are moving back to the area. I don´t know who I can find to take care of the boys as well as you did! Hopefully Thunder and Shady are by your side as well as all the pets you cared for that crossed the rainbow bridge. Still think of you often.

We´ll it has almost been a year. It´s funny how you continue to pop up in my mind when certain things happen. Your kind words and your words of encouragement when I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year have stayed with me. We lost a kind, caring soul that loved all animals and did her best to help when needed. Miss you daily!!

Hi Sue,
I am just finding out that you have passed from this physical world. I did not know it was last Nov '22.

You were the best. I appreciate the many times you helped my dogs and were a good friend to their human.

I could say so much but mostly thank you for being around at the same time. Thank you for being a sane, loving person who stood on the right side of humanity. I loved that about you. We came from very different worlds but it didn't matter. If I needed an ear, you were there. Thanks to Mike too, he was a good friend.

We didn't see each other often but there was something there, between us. I wish you well in all your adventures. Come visit any time. I'll see you again. I am sure. Blessings my friend, Ria

Dear Mike and Family
Our deepest condolences on the loss of Sue. She was a force to be reckon with. The way she loved her family, friends was shown by her in so many ways. My fondest memories were going Christmas light seeing with all of us in the car drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies that she made. We liked to critique the decorations! Of course, the way she and Mike decorated was awesome for every holiday! Of course, Christmas was her favorite she starts decorating usually in October! She and Mike were dear friends for over 25 years till we moved to Florida. We kept in contact and sharing all the miles stone in our lives from our children's weddings and grandkids. The world is a sadder place without Sue in it.
God Bless you and keep you in his loving arms.

Such a beautiful tribute to a very strong, caring woman. Best pet sitter you would ever find! I´m sure she is surrounded by all her furry friends! Her client Christmas parties were fun and she was always looking to support worthy organizations by dropping a note for a donation for her furry friends around Christmas. She will be missed by many!

Dear Mike and family,

Our merciful Lord has taken the care of Sue from your hands into His own. These are the Sacred Hands that now will hold you close and guide you through the days ahead.

Upon the passing of a loved one, we suddenly become immersed in the Beatitudes as we recall what the Lord emphatically spoke to the multitudes on the mountain, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." His promise of comfort is true.

Sue was a very kind, loving, and courageous lady. She loved all of you dearly.

When we have the ability to make God´s will our will, and to say, `Thy will be done´ with utmost confidence, it makes acceptance of life´s difficult happenings so much easier to bear.

Thank you God for your favors to Sue. God will bless you, Mike, for honoring her to the end of her earthly life. It was not easy; no labor of love ever is.

I have not the shadow of a doubt that God was with you all at the moment of her passage with His all encompassing love. He continues to be with you now and will mend your broken hearts.

It was God´s spirit that quietly took her back unto Himself. She tired of life´s extreme burden and answered His gentle call to come ´home´. Her life´s journey is complete. She is at peace.

If you can, think of her reaching for a strong warm hand and finding it God's hand; stepping on a sunlit shore and finding it Heaven; greeting her family members and meeting her friends in their glory; breathing new air and finding it Celestial air; feeling rejuvenated and finding it promised immortality; passing from the daily battle with severe illness to a very sudden, unknown calm, waking, and finding HEAVEN!

There will be tears mixed with smiles as you remember past times spent together and peace will come. Even in Heaven I know she will miss all of you.

As I hold my friend in God`s Light, I ask Him to favor you, Mike, as well as her family with His never ending love.

Sending you my love, prayers, and deepest condolences at this time of deepest sorrow.
