Thomas J. Kenna
Thomas J. Kenna, 67, of Spring City, formerly of Slatington, passed away on September 17, 2018, at Southeastern Veteran's Center in Spring City, PA, surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael J. and the late Mary Louise (Imschweiler) Kenna. He was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown. Tom served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a Radioman Third Class aboard the USS Warrington (DD-843). His career included Kraft Foods, Americold Corporation, Christian Salveson Distribution Services, and Orefield Cold Storage. He is survived by his daughters Angie Yingst (Howard Samuel Yingst) of Grantville, PA, and Kelly Ann Satterfield, of Cherry Hill, NJ, and his grandchildren-Cooper, Maxwell, and Audrey Satterfield of Cherry Hill, NJ, Beatrice, Thomas and Zachary Yingst of Grantville, PA. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Lucia Yingst, and his sister Michelle Ann Hoover. There are no services, as per Tom's request. There will be an internment at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on September 21, 2018, at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
