I don't know if I can find the words to express my thanks for having Tommy in my life. He was a big brother to me.
First he was a great friend from our days living on Railroad St and all the experiences we shared with the "guys" from the 6th Ward. He was the one with the level head that kept us in check. I will never forget them.
I could list a hundreds of things we all did together and there wouldn't be enough space. It was always a great conversation when we talked about the Yankees or sports in general his recollection of stats was scary. But the most I appreciate was his caring, knowledge and his outlook on life when we would talk about having cancer. Without him I don't know if I could have made it thru the treatments, side effects and the mental part of fighting cancer and his sharing what worked for him as he fought it. He always was positive with "live your life don't let cancer live it".
I miss him. Rest in Peace
Roy

Sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. He was taken too soon but had a life well lived, accomplishing much and loved by many. I remember the Legath family from when I lived on Railroad St.

My prayers and sympathy to Tom's family. I was a new teacher at Mosser Elementary in 1979 and Tom was our head teacher. He always had a great smile and loved his job! Even when he had to disciple a student I think they knew he really cared about them. I'm glad to read he had a wonderful, long career in education, he was great at it. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear Vickey,Tara, Thomas, and brother Gene,

My heart is heavy, just lost one of my very best friends. I know I wasn't supposed to have favorites but in Tom's case I'll gladly make an exception, He just loved school work and learning about how he could be involved in all of the Mosser School Progams. I never had to ask Tom to help. He wanted to be involved and learn new things. I'm so glad that we were able to spend some time together recently at the Mosser Reunion. Sitting at our dinning room table and talking about good times and how proud he was about his family and his school in Lancaster. I will always cherish Tom's friendship, I loved him and his wonderful family.

To the Legath family, and all my relatives and friends, you have my deepest condolences. Seeing this is shocking, and especially so because I just saw the family photo yesterday and remarked how great Tom looked on it. This is a very big loss to us all. I haven't seen Tom in several years as he lived out of the area, but his mother, aunt Rose, kept me abreast of him. I pray that Tom's passing will be healed by all the warm memories that we all had on Railroad Street and beyond as we grew up. God bless you all.
