Happy Birthday Poppy.Gary
June 24, 2015
My condolences to both of Tom's families. I knew Tom in high school and saw him when he delivered mail to the place where I worked. He was a funny, kind man and I am glad to have known him. We should all have so many great words spoken of us when we leave. Sincerely,
Sally Horscroft.

My memories of Tom begins with the trip to NALC convention in Portland Oregon back in the late 80's. The laughs & practical jokes he pulled on that trip still make me belly laugh even thinking of them today.
He showed his love for his fellow letter carriers by assuming the sometime thankless job of union president. His wit, knowledge & at times his biting sarcasm helped the union & its members tremendously. He was also instrumental in bringing then NALC President Sombrotto to Bethlehem for the clambake.
We shared the same birthday (Dec.29) though we were opposite in personalities. I secretly looked up to Tom as a carrier. During my own struggles I would often ask myself, What would Tom do. When I thought of an answer, I would try it but...
I'm sorry to say I didn't see much of Tom after his & then my retirement. I thought of him often especially walking up East Hills Dr. on my daily walks.
My prayers are with Jane & Tom's family at this time. May they feel the love & comfort of those that surround them. May they also feel the love of the many carriers that are saddened this day. Rest comfortably my friend. You will be very much missed!
Respectfully,
Tom Warren
