VELMA JANE HALL

HALL, VELMA JANEVelma V. Hall, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2014 in Phoebe Home of Allentown. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Fliszar) Verban. The loving wife of the late Elwood Hall, they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary before his death in 2003. Upon graduating from high school Velma worked in the former Bethlehem Steel library. She then worked as a secretary for St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem for 40 years where she was a former member of the choir and ladies missionary group. She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Whitehall, PA. Survivors: Surviving are her loving daughter Mary Jane Jacoby and husband Martin, of Allentown; and nephew, John Roths, of College Station, TX. She was predeceased by her brothers, Louis and John Verban, Jr. Services: Services have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem and will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
