Vincentine Luhman Obituary

"> Vincentine DAnnibale Luhman
Vincentine Vince Luhman, 88, of Allentown, ended her passage through life on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township in the presence of her family. Vince was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Luhman throughout their more than 47 years together. Born in Ceccano, Italy on January 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Francesca (Delbroco) DAnnibale. Since her familys arrival to the United States in 1924, Vince enjoyed a rich and full life as a strong, hardworking woman with a caring and compassionate demeanor. She was employed for many years by the former Styletex and Phoenix Clothes, as well as a longtime volunteer for St. Thomas More school cafeteria. To know love, was to know Vince, as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and above all else, as a friend. She gave everything for her loved ones and asked for nothing in return. It is that spirit and in those memories that will live on in the hearts and minds of her family. Survivors: Son, Robert Luhman and his wife, Better, of Allentown; daughter, Frances, wife of Jerry Snyder, of Watkins Glen, N.Y.; brothers, Fernand DAnnibale of Allentown, Mario DAnnibale of Trexlertown; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Louis DAnnibale. Services: private. No calling hours. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Alzheimers Disease Research Foundation, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.

I loved my little grandma she was one of the funniest people I knew. I still remember the giant parrot I won at Dorney Park, she was always so scared of it. I couldn't take it back to Turkey with me, it was too big. She was so scared of it she gave it away. It was so funny. I love and will always miss the good times and the bad fights with my little grandma. I Love You All!

To the Luhman's,

I was saddened to hear of the loss suffered by your family. I will always have wonderful memories of Vince. She always did everything she could for Andrea and me when we would be over at her house. Please know that I am here for your family, if you need anything.

Love,
