Virginia M. (Loder) Fox, 88, of New Tripoli, formerly of Oreland, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late William J. Fox. Born in Reading, May 22, 1922, Virginia was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Elizabeth C. (Markovski) Loder. A registered nurse, she was employed at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia for 20 years before retiring in 1977. Virginia was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Orefield and a former member of Holy Martyrs Roman Catholic Church in Oreland. Survivors: Children, Stephen M. Fox and his wife Cheryl of Manhattan Beach, CA, Mary F. Bruning and her husband Ted of Colorado Springs, CO, Elizabeth C. Pickens and her husband Ken of New Tripoli, Francis X. Fox and his wife Kathie of Philadelphia, Edward A. Fox and his wife Nancy of Oreland, JoAnne V. Lynch and her husband Tim of Dresher; brother, Edward R. Loder and his wife Catherine of Allentown; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, 120 Allison Road, Oreland with the Rev. Michael J. Ryan, celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Interment will follow the service Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge arrangements.
