William Gottwald Obituary
William R. Gottwald age 82 of Bethlehem passed away Thursday April 14, 2005 in Manor Care II, Bethlehem. Husband of Catherine A. (Cassidy) Gottwald, they were married for 59 years last September. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Anna Marie (Gitchier) Gottwald. He worked in the maintenance dept for the Bethlehem Area School District, retiring in July of 1984. Member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. Survivors: Wife Catherine of Bethlehem; Son William J. of Bath; Daughter Catherine A. Smith of Bethlehem; Brother George J. of Bethlehem; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Services: Graveside services are Monday 11 AM in Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem. No calling hours. Arrangements care of Downing Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem. Contributions: No flowers please send contributions to Sisters of Saint Francis Academy, 395 Bridle Path Rd Bethlehem PA 18017.
