William R. Pensyl
William R. Pensyl, 83, of Bangor, PA, passed away Thursday, May 10, at VNA Hospice House of Monroe County, East Stroudsburg, PA. Born July 18, 1928, in Bangor, PA, a son of the late Miriam (Rowlands) and Harry G. Pensyl. He and his wife, Joyce J. (Yohe) Pensyl, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last June. He was employed at the former Bear Automotive in Bangor, PA, until retiring in 1993. Prior to that, he was employed as a cement truck driver for the former Houdaille Construction and Alpha Cement for over 30 years. William was a 1946 graduate of Bangor High School and served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of the former Portland United Methodist Church in Portland, PA. William was also a member of Teamsters Local 773, a member of the Mt. Bethel Fire Co. and the Four County Firemans Assoc. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Joyce, William is survived by a son, Rodger Pensyl and his wife Brenda, of Zionsville, PA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Bray; a sister, Miriam Reagle; and two brothers, James and Harry Pensyl. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, Village of Johnsonville, Bangor, PA. Call Tuesday, 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Portland, PA. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
