CHARLES WALTERS Obituary

CHARLES WALTERS Charles "CJ" J. Walters, 72, of Adena, Ohio, formerly of Sardis, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Sienna Hills, Adena, Ohio. CJ was born July 8, 1952, in Marietta, Ohio, a son of the late David Clarence and Charlotte Elizabeth Langford Walters. He was a former substitute teacher and a longtime member of Sardis Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas E. (Iva Jane) Walters and David Lee Walters. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita J. Walters of Powhatan Point, Ohio; three nephews, Brent A. (Jodi) Walters of Glenville, W.V., Eugene D. Walters (Justin Lavy) of Columbus, Ohio, and Thomas J. (Christina) Walters of New Martinsville, W.V. Family received friends on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. The service was officiated by Rev. Tim Wilt at Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound St. Sardis. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Sardis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sardis Manna Program c\o Sardis Methodist Church, P.O.
