MARTIN BAKER

MARTIN BAKER 08/19/1942 - 01/06/2026 Martin Junior Baker, 83, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Arbors at Woodsfield. He was born in Woodsfield August 19, 1942, a son of the late Martin Western and Frances Lula Ricer Baker. He was retired from Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio, and a member of VFW #5303, Eagles Lodge #2302, and Moose Lodge #2247. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lana Lynn Potts Baker, son, (Marty) Martin Junior Baker II, eight brothers, Charles, Bob, Claude, John, Ray, Paul, Floyd, and Ed, and one sister, Mary Stevens. He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Neal) Mahoney of Woodsfield and (Missy) Melissa (Todd) Hooper of Antioch, Ohio, six grandchildren, Erica Carte, Brittany (Colten) Frank, Josie and Summer Mahoney, and Raelynn and Hadley Baker, four great-grandchildren, Miles and Alana Carte, and Allie and Lane Frank, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield with Pastors Sheryl and Todd Allen officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
