SARAH STEPHEN 05/19/1933 - 11/20/2025 Sarah E. Stephen, 92, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Arbors of Woodsfield, Ohio. She was born at Calais, Ohio, on May 19, 1933, a daughter of the late George and Anna Cleveland VanMeter. Sarah was a retired dietary aide at Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield. She enjoyed playing cards, watching sports on T.V. and playing board games. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George L. Stephen on July 31, 2004; a sister, Mary Anderson and a brother, William VanMeter. Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (David) McCormick of Salesville, Ohio; two sons, Terry (Caryla) Stephen of Woodsfield, Todd Stephen and his fiancé Candace Clemons of Fairfield, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025. Burial followed in Batesville Cemetery, Batesville, Ohio.
