KAREN MARCELLA ALLEN

KAREN MARCELLA ALLEN 8/11/1954-9/29/2025 Karen Marcella Allen, age 71 of Cascade, Idaho passed on to be with her savior Jesus on September 29, 2025. She was born August 11, 1954 in Emmett, Idaho to Orron and Marjorie (Eisenbeiss) Blalock. She was the first of three children to be born. Her grandmothers cared for her often while her parents made money for the family. She spoke of many pleasant memories with both of them. Karen was educated in Boise schools, including some catholic schools. She did not finish school during this time of her life, but once she had children her priorities changed. With the help of Gaye Keith, her goal of graduating before her kids came true in 1993. In 1974 Karen married the LOVE of her life, Marvin D. Allen after a very short courtship. They were together for 44 years until Marvin's passing in 2018. From that day on she longed to be with him. Together they had two children, Malinda (Matt) Henderson and Jacob Allen. They raised them with much love and were loved greatly in return. Karen had a special love for the little people of the world. She ran an in-home daycare for many years and loved every minute of it. One of her favorites was baking up some sugar cookies around the holidays for them to frost, surely a mess but she loved it. She also loved getting updates on the kids in all the stages of their lives after they left. Some of Karen's favorites included listening to 60's rock and roll, writing letters to her numerous pin pals, and reading crazy amounts of books. When she was able to get around better she enjoyed fishing for those big lake trout in the spring. She also loved the ocean and how it relaxed her. While writing this obituary a message came in and one said... "She was the nicest person I've ever met and I loved being around her!" I think it's safe to say many would agree and she will be truly missed. The family would like to send a special THANKS to Mom's friend Janet Martin for all the love and support she has shown over the last few years. Mom loved you! There will be a celebration of life at the Cascade Community Church on October 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
