JERROD DALKE Obituary

JERROD DALKE Jerrod Dale Dalke, 44, of Moundridge, KS, died on July 5, 2025 at Kanopolis State Park. Jerrod was born on May 28, 1981, to Jim and Brenda Dalke. Jerrod enjoyed his birthday because he shared it with his big brother, Justin, also born on May 28. Growing up in Moundridge was special for a little boy that liked to explore. He put many miles on his bike with friends and family. In 1999, Jerrod graduated from Moundridge High School, married Heather Sundquist and started in the workforce. Soon after his first son, Jaeden Dru, was born. Kyler Blaze was born in 2002 and Camden Trae in 2004. He worked at AGCO over twenty years to help support the boys. In 2010, Jerrod married Lisa Phipps. Reagen Ranae was born and joined the family along with her older brother, Gabe. Music was a special joy for Jerrod. He loved to play the drums and was so happy to join the Bethel Life Worship Band. He was baptized at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge, KS on May 2, 1999, and rebaptized at Bethel Life Center, Wichita, KS on August 16, 2020. Jerrod participated in mission trips and had a special awareness for people who were alone and struggling. His compassionate heart led him to help others in need as he recognized his own mistakes and was working to become a better person. Jerrod was taking classes at Hutchinson Community College and his goal was to graduate by the time Reagen graduated high school. He enjoyed traveling and was always ready to take a trip. The last trip was to a Kansas City Royals game with his dad and Jaeden. He was fortunate to be able to travel to Nepal for several weeks and hiking with Pastor Ken was a highlight. Jerrod had an appreciation for southwestern art and worked at getting a cactus to grow in the Kansas soil. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Robert and Margie Dalke and Marlo and Jo Gehring. Surviving family members are his children, Jaeden, Kyler, Camden, and Reagen; parents, Jim and Brenda; brother and his wife, Justin and Krystle; nephew, Jace; and Lisa's son, Gabe. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2025 at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge.
