Amanda Thompson Obituary
To honor her memory, a Celebration of Life service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 20th, at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, followed by a reception where we can come together to share our memories and support one another.
Amanda's roots in Marietta ran deep, having been born and raised there and being a dedicated member of Eastside Baptist Church for many years. After graduating from Mt. Vernon Christian Academy, she continued her education at Samford University and Kennesaw State University. Her love for Cobb County was evident, as was her passion for her family, her dogs, and the many piano and voice students she cherished and dedicated herself to teaching.
Amanda was predeceased by her father, Edwin Darrell Thompson, and she is lovingly remembered by her mother, Gayle Godwin Thompson; her uncle, Donal; her aunt, Sandra; numerous cousins and a wide circle of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Amanda's honor be made to Eastside Baptist Church, located at 2450 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068. Your support during this difficult time means a great deal to her family and friends.
