Bobby "Louis" Gallimore January 17, 1934 - January 25, 2026 Louis Gallimore was born on January 17, 1934, in Atlanta, GA, and was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. An unassuming, steadfast presence, Louis was his own type of renaissance man with a wide range of talents. He possessed a keen mechanical mind and loved any project that required building or repairing, whether with nuts and bolts or wood. He also found joy in watching things grow, particularly his own summer garden. However, the thing he built and nurtured most was his family. Even in his last days, Louis' final words were spent gathering his children and grandchildren together, making sure everyone was alright. Married to Joyce for over 70 years, Louis never wavered in his commitment. He showed his devotion to his family through hard work and provision, both at home and by his decades-long career in automotive service. Although retired from the car business, Louis never retired from building, "fixing," and nurturing, all underscored by his gentle strength and quiet faith. Louis is survived by his wife, Joyce Dunn Gallimore; five children, Kay (Ronnie) Cox, Lori (Billy) Beard, Brad (Kelly) Gallimore, Keith Gallimore, and Kevin (Deb) Gallimore; 12 grandchildren, Justin (Karen) Statham, Josh (Amanda) Statham, Joy Statham, Heather Dalton, Haley (Cory) Heath, Clay (Lauren) Dalton, Alex (Allison) Gallimore, Alden Gallimore, Ashley (Paul) Camacho, Amber (Neil) Dodd, Kasey Ledford, and Ben (Stephanie) Gallimore; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Raiford and Opal Gallimore; siblings, Lois Gallimore, Sandra Gallimore, Eleanor (Jerry) Foster, and Byron (Mae) Gallimore. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Mayes Ward Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the funeral on Friday. Interment will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Austell, GA.
