I just learned of Brent's passing. I'm one of the former teachers from Pope High. Another student of mine, Jeff Beckworth, was kind enough to tell me. To all who loved Brent, I'm truly sorry. It is a life gone way too soon. My former students are not supposed to go at this young age.

I don´t know if I ever met or knew Brett. This came across my facebook feed and touched my heart.
Our soul journey in the human body is short, but our impacts are greater than our time.
Live life out loud in the short time we all get.
Love one another. Be kind as much as you can. Forgive yourself often.

Susan my wife & I had the great privilege of introducing Brent to his lovely wife Francine. Dr Tim Crowe, my best friend & internationally recognized boarded veterinary surgeon and emergency critical care specialist made a presentation at a veterinary conference in Brazil & Francine was his language interpreter. Tim was impressed with Francine´s determination to immigrate to US and obtain her foreign equivalent US veterinary license, and he asked me to be her sponsor at my main veterinary practice in Hiawassee GA which we agreed to. Hiawassee is a retirement tourist destination with not a lot of young people. Early on I was concerned that Francine needed to have some younger friends here. I knew Brent, Sally & Doug since, by God´s Grace, their family were pivotal in my purchase of my business & home properties, and we had become close friends. Brent was who we thought of that might help Francine meet some younger folks. Lo & behold, it was love at first sight. It was like a prince in shining armor finding his beautiful princess. Their relationship was amazing. Brent really took care of almost all of Francine´s needs adjusting to our country, especially getting settled in their new home in Melbourne Beach and helping her with her confidence and ultimately becoming a successful veterinary clinician.
Although their marriage was cut short by Brent´s passing, it was an awesome successful marriage with Jesus at the center of it. I Praise God that Brent is at peace, has reunited with his Father Doug, & now patiently awaits his other loved one´s arrival especially Francine, the love of his life & for eternity.
Despite the pain of lose, let´s remember the ultimate Glory we all Believers will find in Heaven.
All our love... Hilty & Susan Burr

I met Brent a little over two years ago. His personality and commitment was a shining example of a young christian. He spoke lovingly of his beautiful wife Fran and his mom. We shared a common bond in our love for our fur babies. He treated me like a family member, which he probably did with a lot of people. When I decided to purchase a home in Florida, I called him, and he was right there to assist me through all the negotiations and finalizing the buy. He will be missed by so many. My deepest sympathy to Fran and his Mom and the extended families. RIP Brent

My relationship with Brent started as a business-client one. Over time it evolved into a friendship. We would speak often, and I thoroughly enjoyed his company. He had a ton of character, and was full of life. I remained in touch with him during his trial with cancer, and he handled it so well. He was a fighter, and tried everything. His love for life, his wife, his family and Pepe was huge. I will greatly miss Brent and may he RIP. Good bye, Brent. Much love to you. Your friend, Keith Schachter
