Constance Fitts Obituary

Constance Powell Fitts, 84, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Miramar Beach, Florida. Born on August 2, 1940, in Marietta, Georgia, Constance was a graduate of Marietta High School, class of 1958. She dedicated many years of her career to Lockheed Martin and also served as a substitute teacher in Marietta City Schools during her children's younger years.

Constance was a loving mother and always willing to help others. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active membership in the Marietta Ballet Guild. She was a long-time congregant of Marietta First Baptist Church, where she found great solace and community.

She is survived by her son, Charles Fitts; daughter, Carolyn Slay and son-in-law Bob Slay; and granddaughters, Hannah Fitts, Sarah Fitts, and Ashley Brasfield. Constance was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Fitts.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Constance's compassionate spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.

I knew Connie through her stay at The Blake Assisted Living. Connie was such a sweet and gentle spirit. Though I only knew her for a brief time, she truly exemplified the qualities attributed to her, in her obituary.
