Daniel Busch Obituary

Daniel Edward Busch, age 76, of Ellijay, passed away on November 7, 2024, after a brief illness. Daniel was born in September of 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to Edward Quackenbush and Regina M. Quackenbush. After attending Mt. Vernon Adventist Academy, Daniel attended Columbia Union College in Tacoma Park, Maryland, where he met his bride, Suzan G. Kelley. After their marriage in 1970, Daniel began studying dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. During dental school, Daniel and Suzan welcomed their first child, Bryan. Upon graduating, Daniel and his family moved to Georgia, where their daughter Brinne was born in 1975. Daniel embarked upon his dental career by opening his own practice in Marietta, Georgia, in 1976. He worked as a dentist for thirty-three years, retiring in 2009. After retirement from dentistry Daniel began to focus on his passion for sharing the Gospel and became pastor of Advent Hope Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He retired as head pastor in 2022. In his spare time Daniel enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and volunteering in different capacities such as prison ministries. Dr. Busch is survived by his son, Bryan, and daughter, Brinne. He was known as Papa to his grandchildren: Jackson, Jacob, Delaney, Andrew and Reece. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly Preast, of Shade, Ohio. There will be a visitation for friends and family held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 6-9 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 11, at 7 pm at the Marietta Adventist Church in Marietta.
