Daniel "Dan" Frisbie, 85, of
Marietta, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Saturday November 15, 2025.
He was born in Utica, New York, on September 18, 1940, beloved son of the late Theodore and Lucy Wilk Frisbie. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Silmser and in-laws Patrick and Catherine Donahue Giannico.
He attended St. Francis DeSales High School before serving his country bravely in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963 as a Chief Petty Officer with honorable discharge.
Dan and Sharon Giannico united in marriage on November 20, 1965, at Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Utica, NY, marking the beginning of 60 years of a partnership built on love, laughter, and care.
While working and raising three young children, Dan pursued his education with determination - earning an associate degree in mechanical technology from Mohawk Valley C.C. then a bachelor's degree in business from the State University of NY with honors.
Dan began his working career as a young boy delivering newspapers and bussing tables at the Hotel Utica alongside the legendary Dick Clark. After graduating from college, he worked for the Foster Paper Company and Utica Steam Engine. In 1979 he moved his family to
Marietta, GA for a greater opportunity to create a better future for his family.
He became owner and President C & J Welding & Fabricating, Inc., where he applied his skill, discipline, and care to build something lasting. He put his children through college and then gave them the opportunity to work in the family business.
Through his faith, Dan was a pillar of strength, a family cornerstone, and a man whose purpose was rooted in duty and love. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the opportunities he forged, and the example he set-proving that with courage, sacrifice, and heart, a person can rise above any obstacle and leave a lasting mark on the world.
He is survived by daughter, Lori Ross (Mark); sons, Patrick, Daniel Frisbie (Leona), as well as his wife, Sharon Frisbie. Dan's greatest pride, though, came in the form of his grandchildren - Daniel, Sean, and Catherine - who filled his heart with joy.
Funeral Mass and reception will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church,
Marietta, GA on Saturday, November 29 at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on December 23, 2025, at 11:30am.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Tapestry Hospice or Daybreak Village Senior Living Retirement Home, Kennesaw, GA.
