Gail Giorgio Obituary

The family of Gail Brewer Giorgio are deeply saddened to share her sudden passing Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Hospital. Her beloved husband of 66 years, Carmine Giorgio never left her side at the hospital and she was surrounded by her children and loved ones. Gail was born, Gail Ruth Brewer, March 18th, 1939 to Wallace and Dorothy Brewer, she was the eldest of seven children and had the joy of being the "Boss" to six younger brothers! Gail attended Fletcher High School in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. She later moved to Pennsylvania, where she attended and graduated from Norristown High School. Gail met and married her high school sweetheart, Carmine James Giorgio and for sixty-six amazing years they had many adventures. Carmine joined the navy and they enjoyed the excitement of Hawaii before moving back to Norristown after his Military completion. They would eventually move to Marietta, Ga., where they raised their three children: James Giorgio (Sp. Kathy), Christopher Giorgio (Sp. Amy), and Maria Giorgio McConnell (Sp. Artie). They were blessed with six grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gail and Carmine traveled all around the world and enjoyed their beautiful lake home on Lake Lanier. Gail was a critically acclaimed Journalist and New York Times Best-Selling Author. Her award-winning works include the Novel, Orion, The Elvis Alive Series, Footprints in the Sand, the Story Behind the Poem and many others. She was loving, creative, ambitious, witty, genuine, and charmingly funny! She was never without her stylish sunglasses, and she treasured her time with friends and family. Her light will forever shine brightly in the lives she enriched.

Life certainly changed when Gail came to live at the Wagner's. Suddenly Joan & I had a new sister, those were the times to be sure. Lots of laughs, enjoyment
love and sharing. So much wished we had seen each other more often after Gail & Carmine married - Prayers for her family......

I have so many nice memories of Gail. Going on our year trips to Pink Pony with Grandkids to hearing stories about her books & Elvis. Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners. She could always keep the gathering interesting.
