Mamie Beasley Obituary

Miss Mamie Lee Beasley, age 92, of Marietta passed away at home on December 20, 2022. Miss Beasley was a native of Cobb County and graduated from Robert L. Osborne High School. She attended Green Leaf Business School before working for Lockheed-Martin. She retired from Lockheed in 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and Starling Beasley; brother, Jack, Sr.; sister, Georgie Ann; brother in laws, Jack Casteel and John Howard Shearer; uncle, Thomas Beasley; aunt, Irene Gantt; along with her great niece, Hannah Kardamis.

She is survived by her sister, Mava Jean Shearer; sister-in-law, Faye Beasley; two nieces, Teresa Kardamis and Mary Brady; eight nephews, Jack Shearer, Mike Shearer, Jo Shearer, Jack Beasley Jr., Danny Beasley, Jon Beasley, Lee Casteel, and Bill Casteel; and several great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. December 27, 2022 at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Bill Ross officiating.

A visitation will be held at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.

In loving memory of Mamie, the family has asked contributions to be made to the First Baptist Church of Marietta Building Fund.
