William Watson Obituary

William Glenn Watson ("Glenn"), 82, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, following a battle with cancer. Glenn was born on July 19, 1943, in Albany, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Ann Carter Watson, his parents, William Cephas Watson and Margaret Janet Watson, and his sister, Sharon Watson Cates. Glenn graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Georgia, and attended Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, Georgia.

Glenn began his career in pharmaceutical sales for Albany Serum Company, and, in 2003, he retired from Bayer Corporation as the Vice President of the Animal Health Division. He was a dedicated professional who faithfully served the veterinary healthcare industry, and he is held in high esteem among veterinarians throughout Georgia. Glenn loved watching and playing golf and reading. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit and, most especially, how much he loved his five grandchildren and how he loved being actively involved in their daily lives. He regularly attended Mt. Bethel Church in Marietta, Georgia.

Glenn is survived by his two sons, Jason (Jeanne) Watson of Smyrna, Bill (Melissa) Watson of Canton, his five grandchildren: Dillon, Annie, Annagrace, Davis, and Andrew Watson, a brother, Jimmy Watson, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and a niece, Neely Bryant, of Midland City, Alabama.

A family graveside service will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta with the Reverand William Griffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society in memory of Glenn Watson either online using this link, www.atlantahumane.org/donate, or by mail to Atlanta Humane Society, P.O. Box 746181, Atlanta, GA 30374.
