Brian Volk was born in Merced on October 23, 1972. He passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the age of 38. Brian was a loving father, he loved playing catch with his nieces and taking walks with his brother. Brian loved spending time with his family and friends and he loved his dog (Bugsy Malone) who he always said shared the same kind of beard as his own. He will always be in the hearts of his sons and loved ones. Preceded in death by his father Henry Volk, he is survived by sons Brian and Brandon, mother Jessie, brother Eric and sister Alana. A Prayer Vigil will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 671 E. Yosemite Ave. in Merced. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced.
