Cynthia Benavidez Obituary

Cynthia brought light, laughter, and love wherever she went. Born in Oxnard, California, to Oscar Benavidez and Patricia "Bambie" Benavidez, Cynthia became a proud big sister to Teresa at age three and to Nicholas at age six. Being an older sister was one of her greatest joys; she embraced it wholeheartedly, becoming a second mom and a constant source of love and comfort.

The family later moved to Merced, and in 1986, they moved to Le Grand, where Cynthia grew up surrounded by the warmth and closeness only a small town can offer. She began working at a young age in 1992 and graduated from Le Grand High School in 1993. Cynthia spent several years at Rite Aid before joining the Rancho Market family, where she became known to many as Cyndi. Her bright smile, quick wit, and generous spirit made her a cherished presence in the town. Later, she worked as the District Manager at the Le Grand Water District, bringing reassurance and care to her neighbors and community.

Cynthia was a lifelong 49er faithful, cheering passionately with her beloved furbabies by her side. Her love for the game was as full of joy and spirit as her heart.

Above all, Cynthia loved her family deeply. She cared devotedly for her mother, treasured family dinners and game nights, and spoke her mind with honesty and courage. She faced life's challenges bravely, doing whatever it took to gain more time with her loved ones and create lasting memories. Her determination and love never wavered, always keeping her family close in spirit.

Cynthia is survived by her beloved mother Bambie, her sisters Teresa and Feuy, her brothers Nicholas and Arcenio, her nieces Sara and Nicole, and her godson AJ. She found peace on November 15, 2025, reuniting in Heaven with her father Oscar and many loved ones who welcomed her home.

Funeral services will be held at Le Grand United Methodist Church on November 28th at 2:00 p.m.

You will always be remembered niece as the leader of the pack of your brother and sister, and my three daughters your cousins ,you guys were all close as cousins by choice ,so many memories the kids have of you growing up you was an organizer and the one in charge and you did perfect that´s why you were so good at all the three jobs you had in life , you always had patience for helping people , at times I don´t know what I would´ve done without your help fixing my technical problems, but I knew you could do it with patient and kindness like no other could for your Auntie Bessie .
