DARRELL FOGLE Obituary
Darrell Douglas Fogle was born April 26, 1959 in Canada to parents Delmer and Vera Fogle. He passed away on May 8, 2010 in Merced, California at the age of 51. A graduate of Atwater High School class of 1977. After High School Darrell enlisted in the U.S Air Force and later worked as a General Laborer for 15 years; he enjoyed fishing, bikerideing and the Dallas Cowboys football Team.
He is survived by his parents Delmer and Vera Fogle of Atwater, brothers: Lonnie (Heidi) Charles of Atwater, Terry (Leslie) David of Frisco, Texas, Monte (Joanie) Ray of Magnolia, Texas and one sister Mona (Mike) De Laine of Dallas, Texas, nieces: Melissa Fogle, Jamie Fogle, Taylor Fogle & Leah Fogle, one nephew, Eric Fogle, and two very special friends, Maria Eloise and Raymond Wright.
At the family's request no services will be held. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Arrangements entrusted to Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home of Atwater.

***Sheila & I had the honour of meeting Darrell only for a few brief minutes while we were visiting in Atwater. He was very nice to us, I wish we could have gotten to know him better. God be with you Darrell as you are with him. Our hearts go out to friends & family.

remember the good times. coaching darrell in little leage baseball in england. we had fun. watched him grow up for four years in england. had some good times playing soccor in our back yard in chevington, eng. God bless him and may we cherrish his memories.

My wife and I have known Darrell's parents since the week we moved into our home. Tex and Vera were the first neighbors that we met. We really didn't get to know their children that well.
Both, Nancy and I ach for our neighbors, and pray Gods speed in healing and mending their broken hearts.

I am so sorry for your lost, Tex & Vera, children are not suppose to go before parents but when God need a special angel we can't ask why. It's God Will.

I didnt know Darrell, but feel like I did because of knowing his dad. And my heart goes out to you and Vera for this loss.
What we have to remember is "God had his reason" and its not for us to question why.
God Bless you and help you thru the sorrow you are feeling. He will help you, all you have to do is just ask.

Darrell and I met at Lakenhealth where we attended elementary and middle school together. He was a giant of a kid compared to me. One great memory I have of him was when I was playing soccer on the playground and a couple of kids I did not know and much bigger tried to pick a fight with me. Darrell had my back from that day forward.
Oddly enough both our families were transfered to Castle close to the same time and we were shocked to see each other walking down the corridors at Atwater High School.
Just yesterday, my son who is in middle school was telling me that a couple of older big kids have become his friends and that he doesn't get picked on anymore. He asked my if I ever had issues in school and I shared my story of Darrell. This was before my parents called me today to tell me the news.
I am very saddened by the news and I will never forget you having my back.
If anyone has any information about where Darrell will be laid to rest, please share this with me so that I can visit and share our story one more time.

Mr. and Mrs. Fogle, I am truely sorry for your loss. I lost my son in 2001 at the age of 26, so my heart is with you.
