DEBBIE CANADY Obituary

Debbie Canady (Burris)
*Grandma Debbie
*Debbie Doo
January 24, 1956 ~ June 5, 2009
Debbie Jean Canady, 53, died Friday, June 5, 2009. She died in her sleep at her home in Chowchilla. Ms. Canady was born on Jan. 24, 1956, in Madera, California. She was currently doing child day care for her daughter, Kelli Blair. She absolutely took much pride in watching her grandkids, Andrea, Ashlynn and Matthew.
She is survived by her parents, Vernon and Ruby Burns; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Wayne Blair; her grandchildren, Andrea, Ashlynn and Matthew Blair; her sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jack Crump; her brother, Bernie Burris; her niece, Misti Burris, all of Chowchilla; her nephew and his family Aaron, Airion, Ambria and Gavin Crowder of Coarsegold and her ex-husband and lifelong friend, Butch Canady of Zanesville, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Ann Canady; her niece, Natalie Crowder and her fiance, Paul Davenport. "May you all rest in peace!!"
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at the Chowchilla First Southern Baptist Church. Following the service there will be a "memorial potluck" at the Veterans Park on Robertson Boulevard. This was a very special place for her and her grandkids.
To all who knew her, inside and out, I have to say, she was a very strong willed lady, Calm or crazy!! She had a heart full of love in which her grandkids were so thankful for. She had her ups and downs in life. She stressed and struggled trying to make it right. In the end she did just that. Now she is gone from here on earth so I must wait until I see her again to tell her everything I should have said. So to everyone who reads this, if you are disagreeing with someone you love or just don't say the things you know you should, DON'T WAIT!!!. There is no time like the present because truth is, "Tomorrow doesn't always come for everyone."I am very proud to say, "Debbie was my mom." I loved her so much, but didn't always show it. She had a special gift when it came to her grandkids, especially. She "Rocked" when it came to them. She gets much praise and respect in that area and I guarantee that will be remembered forever!
May she rest in peace. I love you mom so very much!! You will be remembered forever and deeply missed.

Bless you all. I too grew up with your mom. We were in band together in middle school. I remember her as a twirler and a great alto sax player.
Your grandpa is a great guy. During the summers I filled in at C & R Transit Mix and he was always so nice to me and helped me out when I knew nothing about the cememt business.
Enjoy your memories and I'm sure your mom knew how much you loved and appreciated her. We moms know that stuff! Your kids will forever have within them her love and influence. Treasure the memories!
