FEDERICO BUGARIN Obituary
Federico H. Bugarin was born on November 1st of 1927 in Laguna Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Jesus and Mercedes (Hermosillo) Bugarin and passed on Sunday, June 19th of 2011 at the Hy-Lond Convalescent Center in Merced, California at the age of 83. Although he was a long time resident of Planada, he later moved to Merced to be closer to his family. Federico worked as an Agricultural Foreman for 25 years for Hadley Farms, Bright's Nursery and Oasis Ranches. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, taking care of his daughter's garden, buying his grandchildren McDonald's and going to Planada to visit his friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Eloisa de Reza Bugarin.
Federico is survived by his children Jose Manuel (Guadalupe) Bugarin, Maria de Jesus Bugarin, Jose Jesus Bugarin, Francisco Bugarin, Elvia (Benjamin) Avila, Eletisia (Jesus) Hurtado and Linda (Jorge) Ramirez. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 27th of 2011 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to start at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Merced. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 28th of 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced with burial to follow at the Plainsburg Cemetery in Le Grand, California.

Mr. Bugarin was a good friend to my mother, who is also in her 80's. I appreciate the friendship he gave her and also the memories of his hard work in my younger age.

I remember going to the casino with him and his son Frank. He gave us money to play on and he ended up winning like $150 on the money he gave us to spend. He was a generous person and split it with us.
