Harold Gant Obituary

Harold "Dean" Gant
May 30, 1930 - March 3, 2021
Atwater, California - Harold "Dean" Gant passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 3, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Mildred "Jeannine" Gant. He was a loving Father and Father-in-Law to Pam (Rick), Karen (Clint), Wade (Kathi) and Tracy (Dana).
He was the proud Grandfather to Wendy, Misty, Kristan, Jason, Jeff, Amanda, Katrina, Royce, Clayton, and Ryan.
He was blessed to have 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Hilda, his sister Barbara and his granddaughter Stephanie. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Dean was born in Blackwell, OK on May 30, 1930. He met his high school sweetheart in Lamont, OK where they later married. After their marriage they moved to Kansas where they both worked for Boeing Airplane Company, later settling in California. He worked for Boeing for 17 years. After leaving Boeing he then went to Air Conditioning school and began working at Sousa's Air Conditioning in Atwater, then lastly he worked for and retired from Robic Refrigeration.
Dean was the patriarch of our family. He was a gentle, loving, caring man who never met a stranger. To know him was to love him. He always treated everyone as if they were family. The legacy of his love will live on forever in his family. He has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and he will be missed beyond measure. Family was very important to him and he always made sure to go to all of the sporting and school events that he could. You could always count on him to be there for you.
Dean will be forever remembered for his contagious smile, his humor, loving hugs and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we take peace and comfort in knowing that he is in heaven watching over us.
