My condolences to Joan's husband, sons and entire family. Joan was my first cousin, and I was one of her youngest cousins. I just saw this obituary yesterday. The Warner Family was a close one during the 1930s (before my time) all the way through the 1950s, but then we lost connection a bit with the McMillins. I remember our huge Thanksgiving gatherings of all the family members, and in particular I remember the one we hosted at our place in Stockton. Joan came with her husband and boys, and I believe it was the first time we got to play with her boys, who were closer to my age. I just remember we had fun, and I hope her sons (and grand children) know that our family is still around, and some of us are alive to still remember! I have some old photographs that include Irving & Roberta, and of course Joan. Warmly, Susan Warner

I have know Joanie almost all my life. Roberta and my mom (Alva) worked together in Stockton at the paper mill. Joanie and I connected at times when we lived in Merced. Later we were together and visited a lot.
Later in life, when I lost my husband. I would go up to the cabin and spend time with Loren and Joanie.
We had great times together laughing a lot and cooking and drinking our food and drinks. One time, when we had our ears pierced, we went to the Branding Iron in Merced. Had a couple of drinks, then had our ears pierced. I love Joanie and Loren, they where great people. I will miss you, Joanie, but our times together will be remembered. Love to the family.
