Kenneth Ward Riggleman Jr.

Kenneth Ward Riggleman Jr. (Kenney) 75 of Merced Calif, passed Nov 22, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center, Merced. He was born Aug 22, 1941 in Virginia to the late Kenneth Ward Riggleman Sr. and Leona Mae Smith, both born in Virginia.
Kenneth attended High School in The Dalles, Oregon.  He worked for J. J. Fleck Co., The Dalles.
At age 18 he joined the Army with basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. and Fort Hood Texas. He was stationed in Germany from 1959 -1964, with the 3rd Armored Division, 36th Infantry.
He was a semi-truck driver for many years doing long hauls.  He worked for Union Pacific Railroad.  Also rebuilt replacement train tracks after Train Wrecks.
Many will remember Kenny as the man with the Large Train Display in his yard and on his roof on Alexander Ave.
He married Thelma Ruth Beaver.
He is survived by wife Ruth, and her sister Volda Hannasing, son  Jeffrey Riggleman and sister Sandy Riggleman Bates and husband Harold of Maine.  Also Shelley Rodgers whom he considered a daughter and also good friend Terri Wason.
Cremation handled by Evergreen Funeral Home, Merced.

I am so sorry for your loss, I can relate to your loss, I lost my love of 19 years in May and my older brother last month! So I under stand some of you sorrow! I did not know Kenneth, but he sounds like a good man and I thank him for his service in the Army. I served also, Army, and it aalways a loss to terrible for the loss of a brother. I have known Kim for a few years and share her loss! My God help you with your sorrow and get you through this!
