Larry Friesen Obituary

Larry Allen Friesen

October 15, 1939 - January 6, 2025

Livingston, California - Larry Friesen passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on October 15, 1939, to Dave and Lorena Friesen, Larry lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his community, and his faith. A man of many passions, Larry loved watching NASCAR races, camping with friends, barbecuing delicious meals, and taking meticulous care of his landscaping. His hard-working and kind-hearted nature left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

The store, now owned and operated by Larry's son Brandon, stands as a testament to Larry's entrepreneurial spirit, strong family values, and commitment to serving others.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Connie Friesen; his sons, Greg (Monica) and Brandon (Heather); five cherished grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Paul.

A service to honor Larry’s life will be held at Livingston United Methodist Church on May 3, 2025, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Livingston FFA, an organization close to Larry's heart.

Hello. I´m glad to say I have known the Friesen family men for over 60 years. Larry was more than a link in the family business. He kept alive the legacy of the doing the things that make a business more than just making a buck. He was dedicated to community, Church, and helping people. And now his son Brandon is continuing the family legacy. Thank you Larry. You can rest now.

Our heartfelt condolences to Connie and her family.
We have known Larry for 35 years, through the marriage of his son to our daughter. We had some fun camping trips, and many great barbecues at his backyard. Larry was fun to be around, always there with a smile for everyone.
We will always remember his kind ways.

Larry and I have been friends since I believe the 4 th grade, we were both raised on farms with agriculture being our main focus helping our families survive some tough times back then, we enjoyed our ag classes and participation with the FFA activities, lots of hot rod drag racing memories and just working on our cars, lots of fun together camping, I will miss his friendship and the great times we had together, my deepest condolences to the family, he is at peace without pain now.
