Lorenzo was born in Dos Palos, California and raised in Merced,California. He attended Merced High School where he graduated in 1975. Lorenzo was an electrician for 36 years. His love for the business inspired him to start his own electrical contracting business, and he has been the proud owner of Valley A-1 Electric & Son for the past 27 years. He enjoyed camping, boating, barbecuing,taking trips, and spending quality time with the ones he loved. He had an amazing personality, humorous character and a compassion for helping those he loved. He always had a smile on his face and it was contagious to whoever was around him. He took pride in his children and participated in all their activities/hobbies as youth. He continued that love for his grandchildren by supporting them , cheering them on and attending all their activities. He was proud to be their #1 fan. He will be greatly missed by so many. 
Lorenzo is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 36 years Valerie Mejia. His son Lorence Mejia. His daughter Marci (Mejia) Paster and son-in-law Jay Paster. His brothers Mac, Richard, Alex, and Gabriel. His sisters Mercy, Jeanny, and Sara. His grandchildren Trey, Samar, Miley, Milauni, and Brantley.  Also his father and mother in-law, Ken and Joan Reding, and many brother/sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends. He is preceeded in death by parents Macario Mejia and Petra Mejia, and his nephew Chad Mejia. Funeral Services will be held in Merced at Gateway Community Church on Friday, January 30, 2015. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. and service's starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home.
