Lorenzo Partida, a long time resident of Merced was born in Elopta Sinaloa Mexico on May 1, 1924 to Fernando Partida Sr. and Melitona Millan. He passed away Friday June 29, 2012 at the age of 88. Lorenzo came to this country with his brother, Ramon Partida with only what he had on his back. He made a life for himself by working in the fields and then became a U.S. Citizen. Lorenzo said a man always supports his family and he did that for a long time. He loved all of his kids. Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ramon and Fernando Partida and is survived by his sisters Choni Rodriguez, Tunny, Blanca, Dora, a brother Francisco and wife Guadalupe Partida and adopted daughter Angelica and eight children, Dorthy Partida, Lorenzo Partida Jr., Armida Allman, Mercy Linan, Sylvia Panabaker, Chepa Guzman, Lis Herrera, Conrad Partida as well we 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5th, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Whitton Family Funeral Service, 740 W. 19th St., in Merced. Mass will take place Friday, July 6th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Merced. Arrangements are under the direction of Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced, CA.
