Lakewood , Washington - On June 5th, 2021 our beloved Melissa Baker passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident. The world was blessed with this hard-working beauty on October 17th, 1980 in her home town of Le Grand California to the proud parents of Mike and Kathy Mills. Melissa graduated High School from Golden Valley in 1998 with several accolades for her cross country running, softball pitching, lamb raising, triathlon winning self. Melissa did not even wait to graduate to start her way in the career world. She could not contain her excitement for work and pulled 3 jobs at once starting out at Albertsons, McDonalds, and KFC. Melissa was always soaring for the stars, and after years of working so hard for others she set out on a new journey to be the next Oprah of the cleaning world. She started in Colorado originating Dust Bunnies cleaning service with just her and a bucket, growing her empire, and starting her family. Melissa was also quite the world traveler and ended her travels in Washington when she met the love of her life and husband Josh Baker, and they built her new empire from scratch all over again at Dirty Deeds cleaning service. Above all, Melissa was the strongest, self-reliant, and giving person anyone would meet. Our little cornnut was the energizer bunny, who loved animals more than people. Melissa achieved so much in her life including celebrating 2 years of sobriety May 28th, 2021.
Melissa is survived by her husband Josh Baker, children Matthew (14) and William (8) and her dogs, Ozzy, Pearl, and Milo. Parents, Mike & Kathy Mills, parent in laws Marty & Brian Baker, Grandparents Brenda and Ballard Mills White, Grandparent in laws Lorene Camp, Sister and brother-in-law Bobbie and Richard Cavazos, Sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Frank Underwood, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jill & Dave Knowles, best friend Janae Borges and second mom Stephanie Theodozio, and many more Aunts & Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, family and friends.
Melissa is preceded in death by her Grandparents Horace Mills, Russell & Betty Porter, Grandparent in law John Ray Camp, William Thomas Baker II and her fur baby huckleberry hound.
Melissa was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, athlete, entrepreneur, and friend to many. She had an infectious spirit and drive, called the energizer bunny by many, that had a positive influence on a lot of people. She loved riding her Harley, going to theme parks with the kids, going to the family ranch in Ca, and visiting friends and family. Melissa is now in heaven with her meal #7 and a Dr. Pepper.
There will be a celebration of life for Melissa on June 27th at Bright's Barn, 16120 Buchannan Hallow Road in Le Grand Ca. starting at 3:00
