MOHAMMAD KHATAMI Obituary
MOHAMMAD REZA KHATAMI was born on September 10, 1942 in Tehran, Iran. He immigrated to the USA and through hard work and commitment he received multiple educational degrees from San Jose State University, UC Berkeley, and USC. He was a chief public official for many municipalities where he served the public to further advance the municipality's best interests. The growth and commerce that is burgeoning in Atwater, CA is a direct result of his leadership and planning. Mo loved helping others, often taking much time out of his day to do so. Mo was a dedicated man and loved his work, his family, his friends, and the orchard he lived on. Mo passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 after a nearly 7-year battle with cancer.
All are welcome to attend his memorial services which are scheduled at Turlock Funeral Home 425 N Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95830 on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 3-5 PM.
Mo is survived by his many friends; his wife, Maryam; his sister and her husband, Zohreh and Karim; his daughters, Taraneh and Katy; and his sons, Anthony and Hossein. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We love you and will miss you Mammad.

Mo was a visionary who contributed greatly to Atwater. His dedication and hard work made this small town a great little City. He was a wonderful man, a tough boss at times, and he had a heart of gold. Mo enjoyed life to the fullest and could be mischievous at times - he would get a gleam in his eyes when he was planning or pulling a prank. GOD bless you Mo on your new journey. GOD bless his wonderful family during these difficult times.
