Dear Bratcher Family. I send you my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and our loving friend. Joan was a special daughter of God. She was constant in her beliefs and convictions here on earth, and now in heaven. She was absolutely devoted to her family and friends, and ever faithful to her Church family. It was my pleasure to know her, even for a brief moment in her life and mine. I found Joan to be sweet, honest, compassionate, and always interested in others. It is with great sorrow that we have lost our beloved Joan. I know there is little to alleviate the pain and sorrow of loss. Yet now we know that she is singing with the angels in heaven and wishing each and every one of us, a long and loving life. There is no doubt that she is celebrating her new life in the arms of Jesus and God's loving embrace. We can celebrate her ascent into heaven. Peace be with you all, JoAnne Gray

Dear Mom:

What can I say, there are a lot of things that I can say, but now its to late. I never got to say Thank you for giving me life, for wiping my tears when I was sad, kissing my booboos to make them feel better, or to say Thanks for being the mom you were. I know as days went by our lives became different your little boy grew up to be a man. A man that turned out to be a husband and a father with two sons and a beautiful daughter that means the world to me, and a beautiful grand-daughter, she is my life. Thank you mom for showing me the little things that mean the world to me, and teaching me what life was all about.I wished I had said Thank you for these memories you have givin to me, I know I was not always there, working all the time and not spending more time with you and dad, but I know I can't take that back, but I just hope and wish that you know I loved you more then words can say. From the first day you told me you had cancer I didn't want to believe, in my heart you would not leave us at a young age, you had many more years to stay on earth with all of us. But now that you are gone. God had a reason to take you away, but its still hard for me to relize you are gone. Preslie may not remember as days go by, but your picture and talking to her about the memories will make her relize that you were a beautiful and great women. Love you mom, one day we will all meet again, but as for now I will say goodbye, and Thank you for everything.

My sister Joan. I will miss you forever. I know you are in Heaven with Mom and Dad, Joyce and Dean and Tim. You were always there for your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your faith in God and our Lord Jesus Christ will be a testimony that will live forever in the lives of all the people your life touched. I love you. The words in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 always comfort me and I will rely on that promise now.
