ODELL BREWER Obituary
Odell Brewer was born on August 2, 1934 in Lawton, Oklahoma to parents David & Essie Brewer. On Saturday, October 9, 2010 he went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his love ones.
Odell is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Odell is survived by his wife Mary Ann Brewer; children, Debra Bishop and son-in law Kim, Jim Brewer and daughter-in-law Carolyn, Kristina Cook and son-in-law BJ; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great children
Odell was employed as a mechanic for John Roth Chevrolet for over 25 years. He also used his mechanic skills on hobbies that he was passionate about; go-cart and stock-car racing.After retiring he carried on his passion of racing by being the #1 Dad and Crew Chief on his son's race car. He also enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family.
He will be truly missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.

Miss Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. If you take after your Dad I am sure he was a great man as he produced a beautiful,loving daughter as yourself.I am sure I will be seeing your big beautiful smile through your tears. To Debbie & Jimmy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family. It is so hard to lose a parent and I pray that you have the strength to get through this very difficult time. Us Perez's go way back with your family as I remember vividly from way back in the day when you lived in Planada how we would always walk by your house when we would go to church. Difficult days are ahead but know that he is in a better place. God bless you, Jimmy and your family. My heart goes out to all of you.

I knew the Brewer family when i lived in Planada many years ago and to all of you i send my sympathy i know he will be greatly missed by more than his family.

I send my condolence to the Brewer family, Odell built my first motor for my car when I was about 12 or 13, At that age I had one of fastes 37 chevy chevy on the street. When I was a kid I'd watch Odell race, And I;d say to myself, one day i'm going to race, And now I,m racing at Merced. I know that I can never be as good as Odell, But I;ll keep on trying.
