Richard T. Rodriguez, 51, passed away on September 6, 2015. Richard was born in Los Banos, attended local schools and graduated from Los Banos High School. Richard always loved his music, playing the drums, skateboarding and surfing in his youth. As an adult, he was a hardworking man that took pride in the job he did. He was a top evaporator operator at Beatrice Cheese for many years, and was studying to be an electrician at Merced College. He was a store clerk at 7-11 for the last two years always greeting his customers with a smile and a dose of his quick sense of humor. He was always known for his big smile, contagious laugh, and always making anything within reach into a musical instrument.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Celia Rodriguez. He is survived by his two daughters: Larissa (John) Coronado and Mariah Rodriguez (Albert Diaz) and their mother Laurie Stone who has remained his close friend; his siblings: Elena Diaz, Elfida Fuentes, Joe Rodriguez, Frances Escobar, Mike Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez; and his grandchildren: Alaina, Zane, Keoni, and Jayde; and many nieces and nephews.
On Saturday, September 12, 2015 there will be a Celebration of Richard's Life beginning at 3:30, the rosary will be recited at 4:00 and services at 4:30 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels of Los Banos.

I've never seen a smile as big as yours while on the drum kit. You made it look so easy ..though we never became best friends your acquaintance will never be forgotten . You were and still remain a musical mentor.
