October 19,1960 - March 12, 2016
Robert B. Boney, Jr., born on October 19, 1960 in the Philippines, joined his Creator on March 12, 2016. He was a resident of Merced for more than 30 years. He served with the United States Air Force at Castle Air Force Base, and overseas in Turkey. He was preceded by his father, Robert Nick Boney Sr. He is survived by his mother Maria Boney, 92 years old, and sons Roenn Joseph Boney, 32 years old, and Eric Anthony Boney, 25 years old. He has four surviving sisters, Leona Lily Castillo of San Jose, CA, Annie Rohe of Trenton, Illinois, Leda Beatriz Guimbatan of Chula Vista, CA, and Nancy Siler-Wyckoff of Merced CA.
Robert worked as an interstate truck driver after serving in the Air Force until he passed. He was always the life of the party for his nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces with his unending jokes and laughter. He shall be missed by all.
Viewing will be held Friday, March 18 from 4-7PM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 459 W. 21st Street in Merced. Rosary will be held Saturday, March 19 at 8:30 AM, followed by Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 671 E. Yosemite Avenue in Merced. Burial will be at Merced District Cemetery.

My condolences to the family, I had the privilege of working with Robert for 17 years at Swift Transportation. Robert was a very hard worker and was always working for his family, that is what was important to Robert. He will be missed. my prayers are with you.
