Toby Rolfe

1938 - 2025

Toby Jean Rolfe peacefully passed away in Atwater, California at the age of 87 on September 5, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1938 to Florence and Charles Reeves in Indiana. Toby grew up in the Bay Area of California eventually moving to Merced, California. Prior to meeting the love of her life, Norman Rolfe, Toby was the proprietor of Toby Jean's Take N' Bake Pizza in Merced. Toby and Norman married in September of 1988. She soon became active in Norman's underground pipeline business, Rolfe Construction, working side-by-side with him. Toby also became a contractor in her own right, together with Norman, building numerous homes in the Atwater-Merced area. Norm and Toby built a whole new life together blending seven children, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren into the Norman Rolfe family legacy. Being a partner, wife, and mother figure to the Rolfe clan was the absolute joy of her life. Toby loved God, enjoyed life, as well as the humor, loyalty, and devotion of her beloved husband, Norman. She was much loved and now is resting in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Valley Children's Hospital, PO Box 1248, Madera, CA 93639. Services will be private.
