Trinidad Medrano Obituary

Trinidad Medrano was born November 6, 1920 in El Paso, Texas to Emilio and Petra Herrera. She passed away March 24, 2015 in Planada, California at the age of 94. Trinidad was a resident of Merced County for the past 70 years. She was a wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She worked in agriculture for many years. Trinidad loved baking for her family, especially birthday cakes. She also enjoyed watching the cooking channel, Guy Fieri was her favorite.
Trinidad is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Medrano and sons Joseph Buendia, Bonifacio Lucero, Robert Lucero, Raul Medrano and Henry Medrano. She is survived by her children John Lucero, Mary Sanchez, Angela Bowers, Amy Banda and Josie Castillo as well as 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
A Rosary will take place on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, corner of 21st St. and Canal St. in Merced. Funeral Mass, also at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, will be held Wednesday April 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Plainsburg Cemetery in Merced.

You will be dearly missed by those who loved you most and those who so selflessly cared and comforted you in your last days. You endured much pain in life and through it all you held your head up high and kept drudging forward. Your unwavering faith in God, in the midst of many situations beyond your control was remarkable. Those famous words you spoke so many times I'm not gonna cry over that when evil reared its ugly head was testament to your strength.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and calling me family. I love you Grandma!
