Ada McReynolds Obituary

Ada Marie Ross-McReynolds, 72, passed away from cancer on July 1, 2017, at Stanford Hospital with her husband of 47 years and only child by her bedside.
Ada was born in Mansfield, Louisiana, where she attended DeSoto High School (1964).
A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she received a bachelors degree in sociology from Tennessee State University and married her classmate, John Michael McReynolds, on June 8, 1970. That year, Ada and John moved to Palo Alto, California, where John attended Stanfords Graduate School of Engineering, and Ada took a temporary job as a nursing unit secretary at the hospital to pay his tuition. 30 years later, still at the hospital, Ada put her daughter, Anne-Marie, through Stanford—her proudest accomplishment.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, California. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 21, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Roses.
