Resident of Sunnyvale
Alfonso "Poncho" Lopez passed away on June 28, 2016 surrounded by his family at Stanford Hospital. He was born on March 17, 1952 in Muzquiz Coahuila, MX to Maria and Raul Lopez. Poncho married Bertha "Lety" in 1990 in Reno, NV, and they have been together for almost 40 years. Poncho is survived by his wife, his children Ponchine, Gema (Dewey), Fabricio and Jasmine (Jonathan), and 11 grandchildren.
Poncho always wanted to have a good time, he enjoyed dancing to cumbias, watching and playing sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, and most of all spending time with his family, because "we bad". He was a legend among his family, peers and anyone that he crossed paths with. A memorial service will be held July 2nd from 2-5pm at Spangler Mortuary located at 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave, Sunnyvale, CA.

I , Margarito Gonzalez,jr., was sad to hear about the passing of my friend poncho . We met back when I started working at California Canners and we became close friends along with my younger brother Ray , who also passed in 2012. I will forever remember those days we all used to spend in Murphy Park ! Till we see each other again, my brother, Friend!!!
