Alfred Marino Biagi of San Bruno passed away in San Francisco on May 26, 2018, at the age of 90. He was the loving husband of the late Mercedes Biagi and dear father of the late Loretta Biagi Gallardo. He is survived by his sister, Jean Winship, a nephew, Michael (Mimi), nephew, Marty (deceased); Great-nephews, Geoffrey and Jonathon, great-niece, Autumn and great-niece, Jacqueline (deceased) and also survived by his dear friends, Elaine Christie, Benedetto Bologna and Lisa Fitzeargald. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Marino Biagi and Grace Harris Biagi.
Al was a proud Veteran of WWII and the Korean War and worked as a machinist at the Naval Shipyard at Hunters Point; former employee of Southern Pacific Railroad and the U.S. Post Office. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 58, Disabled American Veterans #144, San Francisco, Member of 1st Calvary Division Assn., Balboa High School Alumni Assn., the Italian-American Cultural Society, Sacramento and a graduate of City College of San Francisco.
Cryptside committal services will be on Thursday, June 7, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the Italian Cemetery, 540 F St., Colma. Donations to the San Francisco VA Hospice Unit, 4150 Clement St., San Francisco, CA 94115 are appreciated.
