Alice Albuquerque Obituary

ALBUQUERQUE, Alice-- passed away on August 5, 2002. Alice was born in Santa Clara, CA on March 28, 1923 to Joseph and Rose Teixeira.
Alice was a lifelong resident of Santa Clara and attended Saint Clare's Catholic School. Alice belonged to Saint Clare's and Saint Justin's Catholic Churches. She was a longtime member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion and the SES Hall. Alice spent many years working in her parents restaurant, Teixeira's Cafe, as well as pleasing friends and family far and wide with her excellent cooking skills. No one ever went hungry around Alice.
Alice is survived by her sons; Philip Albuquerque, Carlos Albuquerque, Jr., and his wife Sheree; and Timothy Albuquerque and her four grandchildren Nerissa Albuquerque-Gonzales and her husband John Gonzales, Jevin Albuquerque; Jason Albuquerque and his wife Lynette; Jocelyn Albuquerque; her great-granddaughter Gabriella Gonzales; her sister-in-law Florence Teixeira; her brother-in-law Helder (Al) Albuquerque and his wife Lillian; as well as an uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Manny and Joseph Teixeira and Mary Silva. Alice suffered the losses of her husband of 60 years Carlos Albuquerque in March and her son Arnold Albuquerque in July.
Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Friday, August 9, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. at the LIMA FAMILY SANTA CLARA MORTUARY, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral service Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the above mortuary, thence to St. Justin's Church for a Funeral Mass commencing at 9:30 a.m. Interment Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
